Garmin has launched the Enduro 4, an ultra-endurance GPS watch rated for up to 320 hours of tracked activity. That figure applies in Max Battery power mode with solar charging, under Garmin’s own stated test conditions. In smartwatch mode the same solar assist stretches to 90 days, assuming all-day wear and three hours a day outside at 50,000 lux. Garmin announced it on October 6 from Olathe, Kansas, alongside the Approach S72 golf smartwatch. Both are on sale now.

Pricing and Availability
- Garmin Enduro 4: $899.99, available now
- Garmin Approach S72: starts at $799.99, available now
At $899.99 the Enduro 4 slots in under the fenix 9 range, which starts at $999.99.
Garmin Enduro 4 Specifications
The Enduro 4 sticks with a memory-in-pixel panel rather than OLED. That is the trade that makes the battery numbers possible. Storage moves up to 64GB this generation, and the practical payoff is faster map panning. Susan Lyman, Garmin’s Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing, framed the watch around reliability.
Enduro 4 is designed for athletes and adventurers who want gear they can trust to perform.

Garmin Approach S72 Specifications
The Approach S72 takes the opposite display approach, with AMOLED behind a sapphire lens. It also adds a speaker and microphone, so calls and voice commands work from the wrist.

- Build: titanium bezel

The Golf Features You Pay Twice For
Garmin presents green reading, post-round putting analytics and aerial hole imagery as headline features of the Approach S72. None of the three is included in the $799.99 you pay for the hardware. All of them require an active Garmin Golf membership.
That matters when weighing this against a cheaper golf watch. The sticker price buys the swing metrics and the heart rate work. The course-reading features sit behind a separate paid membership. Factor that cost in before committing.
