Galaxy S27 Pro Renders Leak, but the 6.6-Inch Screen Claim Doesn’t Fit

A leaked spec for the unannounced Galaxy S27 Pro does not survive contact with a calculator. CAD-based renders attributed to @OnLeaks, published through Android Headlines, put the phone at 154.06 x 73.77 x 7.95mm — and claim a 6.6-inch display inside that body. Those two numbers are very difficult to reconcile, and it is the single most important caveat to attach to an otherwise detailed leak. Samsung has announced nothing; treat all of this as rumour.

Why the 6.6-inch claim does not fit

Run the geometry. A 6.6-inch diagonal is 167.6mm. On a typical 19.5:9 flagship panel that works out to roughly 152mm tall and 70mm wide of glass. Set that inside a 154.06 x 73.77mm body and you are left with roughly 2mm of bezel across the entire height of the phone — top and bottom combined. Shipping flagships, Samsung’s Ultra models included, run closer to double that once you add the chin and the forehead together. The side bezels in that calculation are tight but not impossible; the vertical figure is the one that does not work.

Something in the leak is wrong, and there are three candidates. The dimensions could be right and the screen smaller — a 6.3 to 6.4-inch panel fits that body comfortably. The 6.6-inch figure could be right and the chassis larger. Or Samsung could be quoting the diagonal the way it has before, measured corner to corner across a rounded, hole-punched panel rather than as usable display area, which inflates the headline number relative to what you actually see.

The leaked dimensions themselves are the more credible half, because CAD files are what case manufacturers work from and are usually accurate months before launch. The display size is the sort of figure that gets attached to a leak second-hand.

What the renders show

Set the screen argument aside and the design claims are consistent across the reporting. The S27 Pro is described as carrying the same redesign attributed to the S27 Ultra: a wide camera bar with reorganised lenses sitting on a plateau running the full width of the back, a layout closer to recent iPhones than to Samsung’s own floating-lens look. The render shows a triple rear camera, and the bottom edge of the device shows no S Pen silo — the Pro is expected to share most of the Ultra’s hardware without the stylus.

  • Claimed dimensions: 154.06 x 73.77 x 7.95mm, against 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm for the S27 Ultra
  • Claimed display: 6.6 inches, versus 6.9 inches on the Ultra — see the caveat above
  • Claimed battery: 5,200mAh
  • Cameras: triple rear setup, reportedly close to the Ultra’s
  • S Pen: no slot visible in the renders

The practical point buried in those figures is that the S27 Pro would be a genuinely smaller flagship — around 10mm shorter and 4.5mm narrower than the Ultra, and thinner than either Pixel 11 Pro model. Samsung reportedly considered a Pro tier for the S26 generation and dropped it; a compact phone with Ultra-class cameras is a real gap in the market, and it is the most interesting thing about this leak.

The price rumour is the weakest part

A separate claim doing the rounds is that the S27 Pro will land at the S26 Ultra’s $1,299, with the Ultra itself moving up. That is hedged as rumour even by the outlets carrying it, it is attached to a phone five or so months from announcement, and it describes a price increase Samsung has not signalled. Read it as speculation rather than a leak. Samsung’s next flagship line is expected around January or February.

Everything above is unannounced. Renders this far out reflect a design at the point the CAD file leaked, not necessarily the phone Samsung ships, and the specification numbers travelling alongside them are the least reliable part of any leak — as the display figure here demonstrates.
