Asus Zenfone Max announced: 5.5-inch HD display, 5000mAh battery

ASUS has announced Zenfone Max  along with Zenfone 2 Laser, Deluxe and Selfie during its Indian launch event in Delhi. Zenfone Max  is targeted towards those smartphone consumers whose first priority is a bigger battery so that the smartphone lasts long without the need to charge often. It comes with a whopping 5000 mAh non removable battery giving it long enough power.

Apart from the big battery, Zenfone Max sports a  5.5-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels along with Corning gorilla glass 4 protection. The device is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor & Adreno 306 GPU supported by 2 GB RAM.

In terms of storage, it comes in two variants with 8 GB / 16 GB internal storage along with support for expandable memory up to 128GB via microSD cards. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with ASUS Zen UI 2.0 on top of it.

It supports Dual SIM and 4G LTE.

In terms of camera, it comes with 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash, Laser Auto Focus and 5 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.

Price and Availability

The company is yet to announce the price of Zenfone Max. We will update you as and when we hear about it. The device will be available for sale in coming October.
