Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy A26. SammyFans reports the update is reaching the A26 in the Philippines. According to the same outlet, the Galaxy M47 is getting it in India as well.

Galaxy A26 and M47 One UI 9 update: where it’s rolling out
- Galaxy A26: rolling out in the Philippines, firmware A266BXXUCDZJ6 (per SammyFans)
- Galaxy M47: rolling out in India, firmware M476BXXU3BZJ1 (per SammyFans)
SamMobile and SammyFans both report the Galaxy A26 rollout. The M47 rollout in India comes from SammyFans alone. We couldn’t independently confirm either firmware number, because Samsung’s update server didn’t respond to our check.
As of October 23, no rollout dates have surfaced for the US, Europe or other markets. SammyFans expects the update to reach a wider audience soon.
Why the Galaxy A26 rollout stands out
According to SamMobile, Samsung’s One UI 9 beta reached phones as affordable as the Galaxy A07. The Galaxy A26 was left out of it. A26 owners are now getting the finished build anyway, without the beta stage.
Samsung’s launch release for the A26 promises up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades. It also promises six years of security updates. That wording sets a maximum rather than a fixed count for every model.
For the Galaxy M47, this is its first major OS upgrade. The phone launched in India on Android 16 with One UI 8.5, with six OS upgrades promised.
Phones in the previous One UI 9 wave
SammyFans says these models received stable One UI 9 in the wave before this one:
- Galaxy A series: Galaxy A07, Galaxy A16, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55
- Galaxy M series: Galaxy M16
One UI 9 has also reached the Galaxy S23, A56, A37 and A27 in Europe. Our full list of Galaxy phones and tablets expected to get One UI 9 covers the remaining models.
How to check for the update
