Apple’s Self Service Repair Store now sells genuine parts and tools for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The replacement rear camera costs $249. Send back the old camera and Apple applies a $59.76 return credit, bringing the effective price to $189.24.

9to5Mac, which spotted the pricing first, notes that $249 is unchanged from last year’s models. That holds even though the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max now have a variable-aperture camera system. The parts are on sale in the US, Canada and Europe, MacRumors reports.
iPhone 18 Pro Self Service Repair parts available
Parts listed for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max include:
- Exterior: back glass, housing, display, SIM tray
- Cameras: rear camera, front camera
- Power and board: battery, logic board
- Audio and haptics: top speaker, bottom speaker, main microphone, Taptic Engine
Apple sells the tools alongside the parts, and they can also be bought on their own. They include adhesive cutters, suction cups, nylon probes, adhesive removal tools, torque drivers and screws. If you’d rather not buy them, the store lists a 7-day iPhone 18 Pro Tool Kit rental for $49.
What a DIY camera swap costs
Add the $49 kit rental to the camera’s $189.24 after-credit price, and a self-installed camera comes to about $238. That figure assumes you send the old camera back for the credit. So far, the camera is the only iPhone 18 Pro part whose price we’ve confirmed.
Apple’s step-by-step repair manuals are worth reading before you order. The program has been running since 2022. For a look at how repairable a rival flagship is, see our Pixel 11 Pro XL teardown coverage.
Mac Studio and Mac mini parts too
Apple added Mac parts the same day. The Mac Studio with M5 Max or M5 Ultra gets the broadest list. It runs from Thunderbolt and USB-C ports to fans, speakers, SSD modules, logic boards and power supplies. The Mac mini with M6 or M5 Pro has fewer parts, including fans, speakers, the logic board, battery and power supply.
