vivo S2 FE Launches in India With a 10,000mAh Battery: Price, Specs

in News, Phones

The vivo S2 FE has launched in India built around a 10,000mAh battery. Pricing starts at Rs 38,999 and sales begin on October 20, 2026. Vivo also says the phone earned a Guinness World Record for Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream. The record covers a continuous runtime test of 32 hours and 37 minutes.

Take that figure for what it is. It describes a livestreamed endurance test under conditions vivo chose, not a battery-life rating you should expect from normal use. The 10,000mAh capacity itself is the verifiable part, and it is the reason to look at this phone. The launch follows the S2 FE clearing Indian certification alongside the V80.

Pricing and Availability

  • 6GB + 128GB: Rs 38,999
  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs 42,999
  • Sale begins: October 20, 2026
  • Where: vivo’s own site, retail stores, Amazon India and Flipkart
  • Colours: Stellar Green, Zen White, Titan Black

Both variants hold 128GB of storage, so the extra Rs 4,000 buys 2GB of RAM and nothing else. Launch offers differ by channel. In stores you get up to 10% instant cashback, or a 10% exchange bonus, or zero down payment across up to 15 months. Online buyers get a 10% bank discount, a 10% exchange bonus, or no-cost EMI up to 12 months.

There are extras on top of the discounts. Vivo is including a one-year extended warranty and up to 40% off its V-Shield protection plan in stores. It is also bundling 100GB of Google One for six months and premium access to 10 OTT apps.

The Google One allowance is worth a closer look than the spec sheet gives it. Six months of 100GB is a trial, not a feature of the phone. Anything you move into that storage becomes a paid renewal decision once the six months run out.

Specifications

Outside the battery, this is a mid-range phone. The Dimensity 7300e is a capable but unremarkable 6nm chip, and the 2MP second rear camera is a filler lens rather than a useful one. The durability rating is the genuine standout. IP68 and IP69 ratings plus MIL-STD-810H certification pair sensibly with a battery aimed at people who spend time away from a charger.

  • Display: 6.83-inch AMOLED, 1.5K (1260 x 2800), up to 120Hz, up to 2,000 nits.
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, built on a 6nm process.
  • Memory: 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
  • Rear cameras: 50MP main using a Sony IMX852 sensor, plus a 2MP secondary.
  • Front camera: 32MP.
  • Battery: 10,000mAh.
  • Durability: IP68 and IP69 ratings, plus MIL-STD-810H certification.
  • Software: Android 16 with OriginOS 6.

One OS Generation Behind, With a Dated Fix

The software line above deserves attention. The S2 FE ships on Android 16 with OriginOS 6. That is the same week vivo confirmed India’s OriginOS 7 rollout and launched the V80 on Android 17 out of the box. Buyers today start a full OS version behind vivo’s own newer phone.

The upgrade is at least scheduled rather than vague. Vivo’s published rollout timeline for OriginOS 7 in India places the S2 FE in the end-of-January 2027 wave. Plan on a wait rather than a day-one Android 17 experience.
