OriginOS 7 Rollout Starts in India Late October: Full Device List

Vivo has confirmed the OriginOS 7 India rollout, and this time with real dates attached. The Android 17-based update begins reaching Indian users toward the end of October 2026. It starts with the X Fold5 and the X300 series. Vivo has published a six-wave schedule running through the end of February 2027, naming 40 devices across five product lines.

That replaces the picture we had in September. The India preview programme then covered only the X300 Pro and iQOO 15, with Indian release dates still unconfirmed. The schedule below is vivo’s own, relayed by Gizmochina.

Devices Not Covered by This Schedule

  • Carrier-exclusive models. Vivo says the plan does not apply to them, and that carriers will set their own timing.
  • iQOO phones. No iQOO model appears on this list. Gizmochina reports a separate iQOO timeline is expected soon, so read this as a schedule not yet announced rather than a skipped brand.

How Much to Trust the Later Dates

The October and November waves are the ones worth planning around. They are the nearest, and they cover vivo’s flagship X-series phones. Gizmochina’s report was still marked as developing when we checked. That makes the December 2026 to February 2027 waves more likely to shift than the opening two.

There is also a timing quirk worth knowing if you are shopping this week. The vivo S2 FE launches in India on Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The V80 arriving alongside it ships on OriginOS 7 out of the box. The S2 FE sits in the end-of-January 2027 wave above, so the cheaper phone catches up months later. At least that date is published rather than left open.

We will update this list if vivo revises any of the waves.
