vivo has finally put its own date on the vivo X Fold6 India launch. The company’s India account posted a video teaser on October 3. It announces an event called vivo NEXT 2026, scheduled for October 6 from 12 PM onwards. The X Fold6 appears in that teaser alongside the V80 and the S2 FE.

That matters because the October 6 date had been floating around on a tipster’s word alone. Our earlier report on the X Fold6’s global and India launch dates flagged the date as unconfirmed by vivo. The teaser closes that gap. Here is the text vivo India posted with it:

vivo X Fold6 India Launch: What vivo Has Confirmed
The teaser is short on hard detail, which is normal for this stage. These are the only points vivo itself has put on record so far.
- Event: vivo NEXT 2026, October 6, 12 PM onwards
- Headline device: vivo X Fold6, shown open and in a Nebula Teal finish
- Also on stage: vivo V80 and vivo S2 FE, both already slated for the same date
- Also in the teaser: a mixed reality headset, with no stated India plans
The V80 and S2 FE part is not new. vivo had already announced both for October 6, and the pair has cleared India certification. What the teaser adds is the X Fold6 joining them, which turns a two-device launch into a three-device one.
About That MR Headset
A dark headset sits in front of the three phones in the teaser graphic. vivo has not said whether it will actually go on sale in India or simply be shown off at the event. GSMArena, which spotted the teaser, speculates it could be the vivo Vision Explorer Edition that launched in China last year. Treat that as an educated guess, because vivo has not identified the headset at all.
What Is Still Unconfirmed
vivo has not announced pricing for any of the three phones. As of October 4, no official India spec sheet for the X Fold6 has surfaced either. Colour options beyond Nebula Teal are also unannounced. Anyone planning to buy should wait for the October 6 announcement rather than treat leaked configurations as settled.
