Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 launched in India; but the prices may disappoint you

The Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 have been launched in India. The device debuts in our Country, nearly 2 months after it was announced in China.

Redmi K20 Pro price in India

The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and is equipped with 6.39-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display which supports HDR, Always on Display, 103.8% NTSC Colour Gamut and up to 600 nits brightness.

The Redmi K20 Pro features an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone has a 91.9% screen to body ratio thanks to narrow bezels, no chin, no forehead and a notchless design.

For the front camera, the Redmi K20 Pro uses a 20MP pop-up selfie camera, that has an f/2.0 aperture. It also supports AI Face Unlock. There is an LED notification light ring on the top of the selfie camera.

The Redmi K20 Pro has a Red accent for the power button. The phone runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI 10, which is based on Android 9 Pie and has a system-wide Dark Mode. The K20 Pro comes in 2 configurations: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB

In the primary optics department, the Redmi K20 Pro boasts a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP Sony IMX 586 primary camera with a 1/2″ inch sensor, 1.6μm pixel size an f/1.75 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens with a 1/4″ sensor, 1.12μm pixel size, an f/2.4 aperture and a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor with 1/3″ size lens, 1.12μm pixel size, an f/2.4 aperture and a 124.8° field of view.

The Redmi K20 Pro packs a 4000mAh battery that supports 27W Quick Charging over a USB Type-C port, which can charge the phone completely in 73 minutes. The phone does have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The K20 Pro will be available in 3 colours: Glacier Blue and Flame Red (design patterned back) and a Carbon Fiber Black (Kevlar back).

The Redmi K20 boasts similar specs, but is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, with 6GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The K20 is equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX 582 camera, with a 1/2″ sensor, 1.6μm pixel size and an f/1.75 aperture. The device supports 18W Quick Charging, but has a similar 4,000 mAh battery.

Redmi K20 Pro price in India

The Redmi K20 Pro has been priced at Rs. 27,999 in India for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 8GB/256GB variant will cost Rs. 30,999.

The Redmi K20 price in India starts at Rs. 21,999 in India for the 6GB/64GB version, while the 6GB/128GB variant will retail for Rs. 23,999.

The first sale of the Redmi K20 Pro will be held at 12PM on July 22nd on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. Buyers who participated in the Alpha Sale will be able to place the order at 8PM today.
