Huawei Mate 20 renders surfaced on the web just two weeks back revealing the water drop display and the triple camera module on the rear panel arranged in a weird fashion with three cameras in a square array design along with an LED flash. During the Huawei Kirin 980 announcement at IFA, the Huawei CEO Richard Yu announced that its upcoming Mate 20 flagship powered by Kirin 980 SOC will be officially unveiled in London on October 16.

Today some additional renders have surfaced on the web which reveals the full rear panel of Huawei Mate 20 with the model number (mentioned on the rear panel bottom) HMA-AL00. The renders are in two colours i.e. Blue and Black / Grey.

We can see the three cameras in a square array design along with an LED flash as we have seen earlier. We can also see a fingerprint sensor just below the camera module which rules out any possibility of an In-display fingerprint sensor. It also reveals the camera sensor i.e. VARIO SUMMILUX-H 1:1.6-2.4/27-80 ASPH which basically is the same sensor that we have seen in Huawei P20 Pro.

We have already seen the front of the Huawei Mate 20 in earlier leaks and know that it comes with a waterdrop display with a teardrop notch as we have seen in Oppo F9 Pro or the upcoming Vivo V11 Pro. This kind of display is slowly replacing the usual big notches on Android smartphones.

Here is the recap of Huawei Mate 20 rumoured specification:

  • 6.3″ AMOLED (2244 x 1080 pixels) Waterdrop notch Display, Glass back cover
  • Huawei Kirin 980
  • Android Pie (EMUI 9)
  • Triple rear cameras
  • 4200 mAh Battery
  • Wireless charging
  • 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C

At the moment, we do not have other details about the hardware or the expected pricing & availability. But considering the fact that it is a flagship device with premium hardware, it would be expensive for sure. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
