Samsung unveiled their flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the last week of March 2017 and we are still atleast six months away from the unveiling of the next generation of Galaxy devices i.e. Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Yet, it doesn’t stop the rumors mills from churning out leaks & rumors about the upcoming flagship device from Samsung.
Alleged Skteches along with brief Specifications of both Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ have surfaced on the web and if true, reveal some of the basic hardware specifications of both the devices. These leaks suggest that both Galaxy S9 and S9+ will feature dual camera module both at the front and the rear. Based on the leak, both the devices will feature dual camera module of 16 MP sensors at the rear and another dul camera module with 12 MP camera sensors. It makes a total of four cameras in a smartphone.
We can see a full screen display with on both the device, but with more screen to body ratio compared to Galaxy S8 series. There is buttons on front as was the case with S8 series. The leak suggests under screen fingerprint sensor under testing, which could be moved to the rear of the phone if not reliable on front. The Volume rocker and Power buttons are on one wide while bixby button appears to be onn the other side.
The leak suggests a 18:9 display of 5.8 inches for S9 and 6.2 inches for S9+. In terms of dimensions, S9 may measures 144.1 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm which is almost too similar to S8 dimensions of 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm while S9+ may measure 155.2 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm which again is too similar to S9+ dimensions of 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm. Other features include more secure facial recognition (3D sensing) and Water Resistance (IP65/IP68).
Antenna lines can be seen at top & bottom. The leak doesn’t reveal the back panel of these two upcoming devices.
