Few minutes back we reported that Samsung Galaxy S8 may come without a physical home button on front display and will continue with the 2K display just like Galaxy S7 & there won’t be any 4K display on the new flagship. The rumor gave us no insight or peek into the display size, the camera details or battery capacity etc.

Now we at Androidpure have spotted one more rumor originating on Chinese social network weibo, which gives us more information about the Galaxy S8 specifications and confirms the earlier rumor of No Home button and 2K display. As per this new rumor, Samsung Galaxy S8 may feature a 5.1 inch 2K display without going for 4K display and come without any home button at front. It also suggests that the front display will account for 90% of the front i.e. a screen to body ratio of 90% which makes it similar to Bezelless or edgeless display of Xiaomi Mi Mix.

The rumor also suggests a dual camera setup of Galaxy S8 with two camera sensors of 13 MP and 12 MP at the back. No details about the make of sensors is indicated here. Dual camera setup is slowly becoming a norm in most of the flagship device and it seems that Samsung don’t want to be left behind. The flagship also comes with iris recognition and enhanced artificial intelligence AI assistant service, which may be named as Bixby. Absence of Home button at front suggests that Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner may be embedded under the front glass.

As with any other rumor, take this too with a pinch of salt. We will await for more credible leak or rumor before we can make an opinion on upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
