Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was launched just few weeks back which shuts down the rumor mills for that, but slowly have started the rumor mills for Samsung next flagship i.e Samsung Galaxy S8. A new rumor originating from a leaker “i ice universe” who got some good track record of leaks / rumors, suggests that the new Samsung Galaxy S8 may come with a dual camera setup with sensors from Samsung and Sony.

Samsung Galaxy S8

As per the rumor, Galaxy S8 will come with a rear 12 MP sensor with another 13 MP sensor at the back, making it a dual camera setup. The camera sensor from Samsung is S5K2L2, whereas the Sony’s sensor model is still unknown at the moment. The rumor also suggest that S8 will come with an 8 MP front shooter with an Iris dedicated camera. At the moment, we are not sure what he meant with an Iris dedicated camera at the front and we will update you when we hear more about it.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to make its official début in February 2017 as Galaxy S7  was announced at Mobile world congress this year and launched few weeks later. Going by the trends of dual camera smartphones, we do see a dual camera S8 as reality when it launches next year. Few rumors suggests that it may sport a 4K display, but we have not much information about the hardware specifications of S8 including the SOC chip etc.
