Xiaomi has launched a new phone today, just three days after launching the Redmi 3.

Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon

The new device is the Redmi Note 3 Pro.

Back in November, the Chinese OEM, had launched the Redmi Note 3 with a MediaTek processor.  But, unlike the MediaTek Helio X10 powered Note 3, the newer one is just a mid-ranger, which uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is not surprising that a second variant of the Note has been launched, Xiaomi did so for its predecessor too.

The Redmi Note 3 Pro sports a 5.5-inch FullHD 1080p screen with Sunlight Display, and is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (formerly called Snapdragon 618) processor clocked at1.8 GHz  (2x ARM Cortex A72, 4x ARM Cortex A53), and an Adreno 530 GPU.

The device comes in two variants: one with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM, and one with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. The phone sports a 16 megapixel rear camera with 0.1s ultra-fast PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and a Dual Image Sensor Processor (ISP), a Dual LED Flash and a 5 megapixel front camera.

The Redmi Note 3 Pro features a fingerprint-sensor placed beneath the rear camera. The phablet supports 4G LTE (X8 Cat 7 4G+), Voice over LTE (VoLTE), and is backed by a 4050mAh battery.

Xiaomi says that the Redmi Note 3 Pro scored a whopping 77592 points on AnTuTu Benchmark 6.0. The Redmi Note 3 Pro 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant has been priced at 999 Yuan (10000 Rupees or $151). There is no word about the pricing of the 3GB RAM variant.
