OnePlus has officially announced that its virtual reality accessory, the OnePlus Cardboard is now available in India.
You may be aware that the company is planning to launch its flagship device, the OnePlus 2 this month.
The highly anticipated device is being launched in Virtual Reality, which is why OnePlus is selling the Cardboard to allow Indian fans to experience the launch in VR.
OnePlus has said that it will release an app using which fans will be able to watch the OnePlus 2 launch event live, and that users will be able to watch the VR event any number of times.
The company has also released an “Official Viewing Profile“, to help calibrate your phone to work with the OnePlus Cardboard. You can also calibrate it by using Google Cardboard’s profile generator.
The OnePlus Cardboard is now available for Rs.99 from Amazon India. If your cart value for (Amazon Fulfilled items) is over Rs.499, you won’t be charged for shipping. If you aren’t ordering anything else, shipping & handling will cost you Rs.40.00, which brings the total order value for the OnePlus Cardboard to Rs.139.00.
It is also wprth noting that the listing on Amazon India says that the OnePlus Cardboard is now on a discounted sale of 34% Rs. 50 off on the original price of Rs. 149. It is likely that OnePlus may hike the price of the Cardboard, after the launch of the OnePlus 2.
