ASUS Zenpad premium tablets announced at Computex 2015

ASUS has announced four new ASUS Zenpad premium tablets at Computex 2015.

ASUS-ZenPad-S-8.0-Z380C

The devices are the  7.0-inch ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C/CG/CL),  the 8-inch ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C/KL),  the 8-inch ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C/CA), which comes with an optional Z Stylus and the 10-inch ZenPad 10.1 (Z300C/CG/CL), which comes with an optional keyboard

ZenPad 8.0 (Z380)

The ZenPad 8.0 sports an 8″ LED Backlit IPS WXGA Display which supports a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The display is fully laminated and has an anti-fingerprint coating. The tablet is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor and a Mali-450 MP4 GPU. It comes in two variants: 1GB/2GB RAM with 8GB/16GB internal storage, and supports up to 64GB of expandable storage. ASUS is offering 5GB lifetime storage space, in its cloud service ASUS Webstorage for free, along with an additional 11GB free for the first year.

In terms of connectivity, the Zenpad 8.0 supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, GPS/GLONASS, a micro USB slot, a 2in1 audio jack for headphones/mic. The tablet features a 2 megapixel front camera, and a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus. A lone speaker is available on the front, and uses DTS HD Premium Sound technology.

The Zenpad 8.0 has a variety of sensors: G-Sensor/ E-compass/ Hall sensor/ light Sensor. The device will offer up to 9 hours of battery life. The tablet weighs 350g, and measures about 209 x 123 x 8.5 mm, and will be available in three colours: Black, White, Aurora Metallic

The tablet has a metallic frame, while the back has clean lines, embossed-leather patterning, and ergonomic rounded edges. The Zenpad 8.0 has interchangeable functional back covers like the colourful Zen Case, premium Zen Clutch, Audio Cover with 5.1 channel surround sound and Power Case which extends the battery life.

The Zenpad 8.0 Z380KL supports LTE/WiFi, while the Z380C is a WiFi only model.

ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA)

The ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA) has diamond-cut edges, a hairline pattern, and has a metallic finish. It flaunts an 8-inch LED Backlit IPS Display which supports 2K resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels,  with a wide 178-degree viewing angle and 324ppi pixel density. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, comes with an Anti-fingerprint coating and is fully laminated.

ASUS-ZenPad-S-8.0-Z580C

It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core, Intel Atom Z3530 processor, and a IMG PowerVR Series 6 – G6430 GPU. The tablet comes in 2 storage variants: 16GB/32GB internal storage, 2GB/4GB RAM with the same amount of cloud storage offered with the Zenpad 8.0.

The cameras, and the connectivity options are also the same as the Zenpad 8.0.  But the Zenpad S 8.0 has 2 Front Speakers with DTS HD Premium Sound, Sonic Master technology.

The Zenpad S 8.0, is just 6.6mm thin and weighs about 298g. It comes in two colours: Black, White. The Zenpad S 8.0 comes with an optional Z Stylus, for writing, drawing, sketching, painting, design work, with pin point accuracy.
