We were right when we told you yesterday, that Motorola would begin rolling out the Android 4.4.3 update for the Moto G, X, and E.

The update will start rolling out this week, for devices sold in the U.S and Brazil. However only the users who bought the Moto X from T-Mobile are getting the update for now.

The list of Countries where the updates are being rolled out:

  • Moto X – T-Mobile users
  • Moto G users who bought online in the U.S. (includes Moto G 4G LTE) and at retail in Brazil
  • Moto E users who bought online in the U.S.

Official change log for the Android 4.4.3 Update for the Moto X:

Android 4.4.3 KitKatThis release includes several stability, framework and security fixes in addition to accuracy improvements to the power profile.

Camera - Pause video recordingAdded the ability to pause video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.
Updated Phone dialerWith a new graphical layout and colors to improve consistency and usability.

Sends periodic alerts with your location to your selected contacts.

The Moto G will not receive the Improved Image Quality tweaks mentioned above, while the Moto E will only be receiving the general OS Update and the new Dialer.

Moto X Android 4.4.3 Build numbers:

DeviceBuild Number
Moto X (T-Mobile)212.44.21.ghost_row.Retail.en.US
Moto G (Global GSM)174.44.1.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US (update: this is the build number for 4.4.2)
Moto G (US GSM)174.44.1.falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US (update: this is the build number for 4.4.2)
Moto Eunknown

Update: It appears that Motorola have incorrectly posted the build numbers for Android 4.4.2 for the U.S versions, instead of the 4.4.3’s build numbers.

Thanks John

There is no word for the update being released for other countries at the moment, but it shouldn’t take long for the roll out to be pushed out soon. Especially, since the Brazilian version of the phones are Dual SIM ones, like the Indian versions.
