Sony Xperia Z5 premium was launched at ongoing IFA event in Berlin apart from two other Z5 variants i.e Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 compact. The Xperia Z5 Premium sports a 5.5 inch 4K UHD triluminos display with resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a pixel density of whopping 806 ppi. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) Octa Core processor along with Adreno 430 GPU and 3 GB RAM.
In terms of storage, it comes with up to 32 GB flash memory along with support for expandable memory via MicroSD card up to 200 GB. The device runs Google Android 5.1 (Lollipop) as its operating system.
The Xperia Z5 Compact sports a 1/2.3” 23 MP main rear camera with Sony Exmor RS for mobile sensor which comes with hybrid auto focus of 0.03 second, 5 x Clear Image Zoom, up to 8x Digital Zoom, Wide angle G Lens (24 mm) and video stabilisation. It can record 4K videos.
Apart from this main rear camera, it comes with a 5 MP front camera with Sony Exmor R for mobile sensor and Pulse LED Flash which can record full HD video. It also comes with video stabilization and Wide-angle lens (25 mm).
It supports Single nano SIM. The weight of the device is 180 grams.
In terms of connectivity, it comes with support for 3G/4G/ WiFi/ NFC. Apart from these, it comes with Waterproof & dust tight (IP65 and IP68 ), Fingerprint sensor.
The device is powered by a decent 3430 mAh which comes with Quick Charge 2.0.In terms of size, it’s dimensions are 154.4 x 76.0 x 7.8 mm.
Price and Availability
Xperia Z5 Premium will launch globally in both single SIM and Dual SIM variant starting November 2015. Sony is yet to announce pricing details for the device which will vary from country to country for sure.
