Alleged Lenovo Z5 real life images with Notch and Dual camera leak

Just ahead of the official launch, alleged real life images of Lenovo Z5 have surfaced on the Chinese social network Weibo which reveal the design of the device including the rear panel. As per the leaked images, Lenovo Z5 comes with a iPhone X kind of notch with a high screen to body ratio display. Minor bezel is visible at the bottom which looks same as many other devices that are launched these days.

We can also see a dual camera module aligned vertically on the left side of rear panel along with LED flash while the fingerprint sensor is visible in the middle of rear panel.

In our opinion, all these leaks with Notch at the top of display are those of the lower variant of Lenovo Z5 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor while the premium variant may feature a high end hardware with under-display fingerprint sensor.

Alleged Lenovo Z5 image with Notch leaks ahead of official launch

A new image of alleged Lenovo Z5 has surfaced on the web which once again confirms the iPhone X kind of notch at the top of the display. We already have seen an alleged leak of Lenovo Z5 (later in the post) which indicates that the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 along with 4GB RAM and runs on Android 8.1(Oreo) based operating system with ZUI on top.

The leaked image once again doesn’t reveal anything new about the upcoming device except the Notch and the ZUI.

Lenovo is scheduled to officially unveil its new flagship device teased as the truly full-screen phone with a high screen to body ratio of more than 95%. We have already seen some official teasers of the device revealing it partially. The company is emphasising it as a true flagship device with premium hardware and storage support up to 4TB (probably cloud storage or MicroSD card up to 4TB?). But a new leak has emerged which indicates that Lenovo Z5 may have a mid-range variant too in addition to the flagship one (if indeed it’s a flagship device).

Androidpure has received an alleged image of Lenovo Z5 which shows the about screen of the device which also includes the Model number i.e. Lenovo L78011. Lenovo L78011 is allegedly the model number for Lenovo Z5 and is already certified at FCC. Apart from FCC, Lenovo L78011 is also listed on Chinese certification agency TENAA (without any images or specifications though at the moment).

The alleged image reveals that Lenovo Z5 comes with an iPhone X type of notch which slowly have become a trend for Android smartphones. The leaked image also suggests that the phone is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage and runs on Android 8.1(Oreo) based operating system with ZUI on top. Out of 64GB, around 38GB is available to the end-user. Unfortunately, the image is too dark and we are unable to identify the bezels around including the bottom. Earlier leak allegedly indicates that it may feature the front camera at the bottom of the display, though it can’t be verified by the leaked image today.

To be honest, we didnt expect a notch with Lenovo Z5 and we do hope that this leak is not genuine. Also we expect a high-end premium device with flagship hardware specifications at par with current flagship devices such as OnePlus 6 or Xiaomi Mi 8. But to find that out, we need to wait for official unveiling.

As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
