Apple’s first smart home display is called HomeView. It costs $299 in the U.S., and pre-orders opened today ahead of a Friday, November 13 release.
There is a catch for Android households. Apple says HomeView setup and multiuser support require a compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software. Apple also says HomeView will not be sold in the European Union, because Siri AI is not yet available in iOS there.

Apple HomeView Pricing and Availability
Apple sells two versions at the same price. The tabletop model comes in four colours, and a separate wall-mounted model comes in two.
- HomeView (tabletop): $299 (U.S.)
- HomeView (Wall Mounted): $299 (U.S.)
- Pre-orders from today: U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India
- Singapore pre-orders: Thursday, October 15, at 9 a.m. SGT
- Release: Friday, November 13, in all of the above
- European Union: not for sale
Orders go through apple.com/store and the Apple Store app. On the EU exclusion, Apple says it is working with the EU, but its release gives no timeline. The launch follows weeks of rumors, covered in our October 13 event preview.
For the wall-mounted model, Apple lists three Schneider Home mounts:
- Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector: $59.95 (U.S.)
- Power Mount AC Wired: $79.95 (U.S.)
- Power Mount PoE Wired: $129.95 (U.S.), from early 2027
Six Faces, One Shared Screen
HomeView can recognize up to six people. Each person gets a personal Home Screen, and Apple says personal content stays private from other users.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, framed the product around that idea.
“Apple HomeView is designed to be shared by everyone in the home yet feel completely personal to each user,” Joswiak said.
Apple’s own footnotes add a caveat worth reading. Your personal information can stay available on HomeView after your paired iPhone drops off Wi-Fi. That happens when HomeView recognizes your face and the phone meets these conditions:
- It was recently on the same Wi-Fi network
- It has an active cellular connection
- It is in the same location
- It has been unlocked recently
In practice, your face acts as the key to personal data on a screen everyone in the house can walk up to. That is a convenience trade-off, and households should decide on it knowingly.
Apple says a feature it calls Secure Exclaves protects camera and microphone data. It also says Siri requests run on-device or in its Private Cloud Compute servers. These are Apple’s claims, and androidpure has not tested them.
Siri AI, iCloud+ and a Future Fee
Siri AI is in beta in HomeView software 27.2. At launch it works in English only, in these markets:
- U.S. and Canada
- UK and India
- Australia and New Zealand
- Singapore and South Africa
Some smart features cost extra. Video summaries and natural-language search for HomeKit Secure Video need an eligible iCloud+ plan. Apple Intelligence features that use server-side models also carry daily usage limits.
Apple says expanded access to those features will be available for a fee in the future. So the $299 covers the hardware, but part of the AI experience is metered today and may become a paid add-on later.
