Nothing has reopened its Community Review Program, letting members of the public apply to receive the company’s unreleased products ahead of launch. Applications close on 10 September 2026 at 10:00 BST, according to Nothing’s own community post, and the company has confirmed the program is not open to applicants in India.
What Nothing is actually asking for
Nothing’s pitch, posted by its community team, frames this as a creative opportunity: “This is your chance to get hands-on with our latest products and software before anyone else, and to show off your creativity by sharing your own take with a vibrant global community.” That’s the marketing version. The terms attached to it describe something closer to unpaid content work for a loaner device.
Selected applicants sign an NDA, agree to Nothing’s embargo dates, and get a device shipped to them, no purchase or fee involved, with return shipping also covered. In exchange, Nothing wants first impressions posted to its community and the applicant’s own social channels while the review period is running, followed by a full review once the product actually launches. Unboxings and “creative content” showing the product in use are also on the wish list.
The device itself doesn’t belong to the reviewer for long. Nothing’s FAQ is direct about this: “The devices are provided on a loan basis, so you’ll need to return them once the review period concludes.” Anyone applying should treat this as a work assignment with a hard deadline and an unpaid product to hand back, not a giveaway.
India is excluded, again
Nothing’s own FAQ states plainly: “Please note that this Review Program will not be applicable for users in India.” The company hasn’t said why, and this isn’t the first time an India carve-out has shown up on one of these programs — commenters on Nothing’s own community thread flagged the same exclusion on past rounds. One commenter speculated that India typically gets its own separate review program tied to local product launches, but Nothing has not confirmed that for this round.
Who Nothing is looking for, and the deadline
The company says it wants applicants “passionate about technology” or with a background in 3D animation, graphic design, music and sound production, or product reviews, though it states no specific skill is required to apply. Selection is entirely at Nothing’s discretion, and applying doesn’t guarantee a device.
The application window closes fast. Nothing’s post is explicit on the cutoff: “Applications are open now and will close on 10 Sep 2026 at 10:00 BST. No applications will be accepted after this deadline.” Nothing hasn’t named which product or software this specific round covers.
