Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra 3C Listing Points to 60W Charging

The last two Galaxy S27 models have now turned up in China’s 3C compulsory certification database, and the paperwork points to 60W wired charging for both. The listings cover model numbers SM-S9570 and SM-S9580, which are expected to reach shelves as the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung has confirmed nothing about the S27 series, so treat all of this as a certification leak rather than a spec sheet.

What the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra listings show

Gizmochina published the 3C listing screenshot for the two new entries. Its reading is 60W wired charging on both, with no charger in the retail box, which is where Samsung has been for several generations now. Gizmochina notes the Galaxy S26 Ultra was the model that moved Samsung’s flagship line off 45W to 60W, so this reads as the Ultra holding its ground and the Pro joining it rather than a fresh jump.

The names come from a separate source. Gizmochina attributes the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra branding to GSMA IMEI database listings, not to the 3C paperwork itself. If it holds, the Pro would be the first Pro-branded phone in the Galaxy S line.

One reason to hold the 60W figure loosely. It rests on a single outlet’s reading of a listing image. The same article also gets the rest of the lineup wrong. It puts the base Galaxy S27 at 45W and the S27+ at 27W under the model number SM-S9650. GSMArena and SamMobile independently read the same certification as 25W and 45W, with SM-S9560 for the Plus, and both quote the underlying voltage and current pairs. Gizmochina’s numbers there look transposed, which is worth knowing before leaning hard on its 60W read.

How the four Galaxy S27 models line up on charging

  • Galaxy S27 (SM-S9520): 25W wired, from 9V at 2.77A in the certification listing
  • Galaxy S27+ (SM-S9560): 45W wired, from 15V at 3A
  • Galaxy S27 Pro (SM-S9570): 60W wired, per Gizmochina’s reading, with no voltage or current pair published
  • Galaxy S27 Ultra (SM-S9580): 60W wired, same source and same caveat
  • In the box: a USB-C cable, no charger, across the lineup

androidpure covered the base Galaxy S27 and S27+ certification earlier this week, when the Pro and Ultra had not yet appeared in the database. They have now, which is the new part.

Samsung is widening the gap inside its own lineup

Take the four figures together and a pattern shows up that is worth naming. The two most expensive phones in the range get 60W. The two that most people actually buy stay on numbers Samsung settled on years ago, 25W for the base model and 45W for the Plus.

Charging speed used to be a platform decision. Increasingly it looks like a feature held back to make the pricier models feel worth the difference. The usual defence of conservative charging is battery longevity, and that argument is real. It gets harder to accept when the same company ships 60W on the Ultra and the Pro, and when phones costing a fraction of the S27’s likely price charge two or three times faster than the base model will.

The missing charger compounds it. None of these speeds are what you get out of the box. Reaching 60W means buying a charger that supports it, at your cost, on a phone that will not be cheap.

When the Galaxy S27 might launch

All four models now hold 3C certification. That is notably earlier in the cycle than the Galaxy S26 series, which cleared 3C in January 2026 and went on sale in March. On that comparison, a Galaxy S27 unveiling as early as January 2027 is a reasonable read, though Samsung has announced no date and certification timing has been a loose predictor before.
