The roadmap for the Android 13 update for ASUS Zenfone and ROG Phone devices has been revealed by the Taiwanese company. Here is when your phone will get the OTA.
Android 13 update for ASUS Zenfone and ROG Phone roadmap
The current flagship mobile, the ASUS Zenfone 9 will be the first device from the company to get the firmware based on Android 13. The update is set to be released for the smartphone in December 2022. The second wave of updates will start in January 2023, when the company rolls out the Android 13 update for the ASUS Zenfone 8 series. This includes the regular Zenfone 8 and the Zenfone 8 flip.
The third phase of the Android 13 update roll out will bring the new version of the operating system to the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. They will be followed by OTA updates for the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. All four gaming phones will be updated in the 1st quarter of 2023.
The Android 13 update for ASUS ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate will be made available in Q2, 2023. ASUS will deliver the software update for the ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro in the 2nd quarter of next year.
