Tecno Pova 2 with 7000 mAh battery, MediaTek Helio G85 announced in India

Tecno has introduced an affordable mid-range device called the Tecno Pova 2 in India. The phone debuted about a month ago in the Phillippines.

Tecno Pova 2 display and processor

The Pova 2 sports a 6.9-inches Full HD+ display. The IPS LCD panel has a water-drop notch, supports a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate, 90% screen-to-body ratio, 386 PPI pixel density and 480nits brightness.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, with a Mali-G52 GPU. It runs on HiOS based on Android 11, and has 4GB/6GB RAM, with 64GB/128GB of storage.

Tecno Pova 2 camera features

The main camera set up on the Tecno Pova 2 comprises a 48MP f/1.79 aperture lens, assisted by a 2MP sensor, a 2MP Macro lens, a 2MP Depth Sensor and an LED Flash. The selfie camera on the phone is an 8MP f/2.0 aperture sensor.

The Tecno Pova 2 is backed by a whopping 7000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging using a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The device has a G-Sensor, an Ambient light sensor, a Proximity sensor, an Electronic Compass, a Gyroscope, a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and supports Face Unlock via the front camera. The phone measures 173.32 x 78.78 x 9.62 mm.

Tecno Pova 2 price in India

The Tecno Pova 2 price in India starts at Rs.10, 499 for the 4GB/64GB version, while the 6GB/128GB model costs Rs. 12,499. These are the launch prices for the phone which will be valid for a limited time.

The handset will be available for purchase on August 5th, at Amazon. The phone comes in 3 colours: Polar Silver, Energy blue, Dazzle Black.
