A Nokia PureView video teaser has been leaked, and it shows off design and tech specs of the phone. The promo says that the 5-lenses camera system, can take 5 photos simultaneously.

The penta cameras from Zeiss optics, also boast superior low-light imaging tech, with up to 10x more light capturing than a regular phone camera. The display size has been confirmed to be a 5.99-inch 2K HDR10 PureDisplay in the ad, which was leaked by MySmartPrice.

The Nokia PureView video teaser says the phone can be unlocked with a touch on the screen, aka it has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on Android One with Android 9 Pie, and promises 2 years of software updates. The device will support Qi wireless charging, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.

Nokia PureView leaked render reveals Android One branding, in-display fingerprint scanner

A new Nokia PureView leaked render has appeared, thanks to evleaks. The leak reveals that the device is an Android One phone.

That’s not all, the PureView phone has a tall 18:9 aspect ratio, but there is no notch. And there are thick bezels, a forehead and a chin, which kind of looks like a device from 2017, rather than a 2018 one.

What does make it modern, is the icon on the homescreen. Considering that along with the fact that the Nokia PureView leaked render shows no fingerprint scanner on the back panel, we can say that the phone has an in-display fingerprint reader. The placement of the icon is odd, because it is nearly smack dab in the middle of the screen, rather than near the bottom of the screen.

Phones with in-display fingerprint scanners that we have seen, always have the scanner icon near the bottom of the display, so it is easy for the user to place their finger to unlock the device. We are not sure how the PureView will imply this tech.

The Nokia PureView leaked render also confirms the 5 rear cameras design of the phone, which we reported about previously. Despite being an Android One phone, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM, and the display is supposedly a 5.9-inch QHD panel.

The Nokia PureView has been codenamed by HMD Global as “Beholder”. The device doesn’t have a launch date yet.
