Infinity Display designs reveal the look of Samsung’s 2019 devices

Infinity Display leaked designs showcased by Samsung at their developer’s conference reveal the look of Samsung’s 2019 devices. Apparently, there are four designs at this stage.

Infinity Display leaked designsThe designs which have been showcased are the Infinity-U, Infinity-V, Infinity-O and a new Infinity design. The Infinity-U has a water-drop notch, with a selfie camera in it. The notch is shaped like the letter U, hence the name. The same logic applies to the Infinity-V, which has a V-shaped notch. It is sad indeed, to see Samsung adopting the notch trend, but these designs offer something that devices from other OEMs do not. The inclusion of the notch seen in the Infinity Display leaked designs indicate that the phones may have no forehead or chin at all.

Speaking of the notch, the Infinity-O has none but sports the selfie lens near the corner of the screen. It looks similar to what we saw in the Zenfone 6 leaks a few weeks ago.

The New Infinity design has no notch, and also does not sport a visible selfie lens. Some rumours indicate that the design will feature an in-display selfie camera. It could be a pop-up camera like what Vivo did with the Nex. How it will turn out to be is a mystery.

Oddly, the Infinity Flex design graphics shared by Ben Geskin but thanks to Samsung’s recent announcement, we do have a fair idea about how it will look like. Take these  Infinity Display designs with a pinch of salt, as they could be just the prototype stage images and far from the actual product stage.

Samsung has also announced that the Galaxy S10 will run on its new OneUI, which is a cleaner looking version of its custom Android skin.

Update: The post is updated to include Samsung Official image and other details from Developer Conference.
