After OnePlus today announcing the official launch date of OnePlus 6T as October 30, Xiaomi is set to announce something special tomorrow which we assume may be the official launch date of the upcoming flagship device Mi Mix 3. The company teased from its official Weibo handle in China about the same, without revealing any other details. To be honest we are not sure if the teaser means something as it only talks about some announcement tomorrow.

Mi Note 4 with Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 may launch on October 15, New teasers leak

We have been hearing leaks about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 for quite some time and is rumoured to be officially unveiled in upcoming week on October 15 in China. We have already seen an alleged launch teaser which confirms the launch date. Today more teasers have surfaced that once again confirm the October 15 Launch event for Mi Mix 3. Have a look at these teasers:

One of these launch teasers also indicates that Xiaomi may be refreshing its Mi Note series by launching Mi Note 4 which will be a successor of Mi Note 3 that was officially unveiled last year in September. The teaser clearly lists Mi Note 4 with the code name “Lex” with the launch date of 15th October along with Mix 3. Keep in mind that Mi Note series devices are mid-range smartphones with decent hardware, the last being Mi Note 3 powered by Snapdragon 660 while the Mi Mix series devices are flagship devices. At the moment, not much is known about Mi Note 4, but you can expect decent mid-range hardware with Snapdragon 710 probably but we are not sure. Existing MI Note 3 features a 5.50-inch Full HD display powered by octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage but no microsd card suppoty. In terms of camera, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 comes with a 12-MP main rear camera and a 16MP front shooter for selfies & video calls. It is backed by a 3500mAh non removable battery.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launch date set for October 15th, and a new patent confirms the sliding phone design

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launch date has been leaked ahead of the official announcement. The phone could be launched on October 15th, in China.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launch date

This isn’t the first time that the Mi Mix 3 launch date has been leaked. It was supposed to be launched on September 15th, but that leak turned out to be fake. Or perhaps the company ran into some issues, which have since been fixed?

Here’s what we know about the device so far.

A hands-on video leak of the Mi Mix 3, revealed that the phone has a sliding mechanism. This enables the phone to have an all-screen design, with no selfie cameras or a notch, and almost no bezels. The selfie lens comes into view when the slider is used.

This is an official Mi Mix 3 photo, which was posted by Xiaomi President, Lin Bin, on Weibo. It gives the best look at the phone, which we have seen yet.

The Mi Mix 3 could support 5G, according to a photo of the device which was “leaked’ by Xiaomi’s spokesperson, Donovan Sung.

We spotted a Xiaomi patent, that shows a sliding phone design, which seems to be similar to the mechanism used in the Mi Mix 3. You may have to look twice at the diagrams to see the extended portion at the top of the device, which shows the selfie cameras and the other sensors. The picture of the back panel shows the extended portion more clearly.

According to a prior leak, the Mi Mix 3 could be available in 2 main models, with several sub-variants. The standard variant will have 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage, priced from 3,399 RMB to 4,299 RMB. A Ceramic variant reportedly exists with 6GB/8GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage, the prices of which range from 4,399 RMB and up to 5,299 RMB.

We don’t know much about the tech specs of the phone, but if the Mi Mix 3 launch date is indeed October 15th, we can expect more leaks before the device is announced.
