OnePlus 6T may only have dual cameras, according to these leaked case renders

Rumors so far have suggested that the OnePlus 6T features triple cameras on the rear, similar to the Oppo R17 Pro, but it appears that those rumors may not be true. The OnePlus 6T may only have dual cameras after all.

OnePlus 6T may only have dual cameras

The previous leaks which we reported, have shown us three rear cameras on the phone, placed in a vertical alignment. But, new leaked case renders which were sent to us, claim otherwise.

These ZGAR cases are the reason we think the OnePlus 6T may only have dual cameras. They indicate a dual camera setup with an LED Flash placed just below the lenses, in a vertical arrangement.

Are these case renders real? There are three reasons why we think they could be. The first, is of course the lack of a cutout for the headphone jack in the cases, a move which by now every OnePlus fan should be aware of, after the company’s CEO confirmed, and defended, though not very well.

Secondly, these case designs do not pertain to that of the OnePlus 6’s back panel, which has a horizontal camera setup. And finally, the lack of a cutout for the fingerprint scanner, which was present on the OnePlus 6. So, we wouldn’t be surprised if the OnePlus 6T only has dual cameras. Then again, leaks should always be taken with a pinch of salt.

You may be aware, that the OnePlus 6T has been confirmed to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will have a waterdrop notch display design, also a feature “borrowed” from the OPPO R17 Pro. You can see the display in the first photo here, and that could be the OnePlus 6T official wallpaper.
