Huawei’s upcoming flagship phablet, the Mate 9, has long been pending for an official launch. But it could not very far away, according to an image posted on Weibo.

The image itself is quite vague, but we think that the event could possibly be for the Huawei Mate 9.

According to a leaked image from evleaks, there will be another version of the phone, with a curved screen, a la dual curved edges. This phone is apparently the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and has the codename Long Island.

Both devices are touted to be powered by Huawei’s newest chipset, the Kirin 960, which was launched last week. The phones will feature a 6.0-inch (5.9 to be precise) display, and will come with 4GB of RAM. You can read our previous coverage, to know more about the phones.

We will have to wait until November 3rd to see if the Chinese OEM, will launch the Huawei Mate 9.
