We are just few hours away from the official launch of Oppo R9s which is scheduled for today at an event in China. Even though we have already seen the alleged renders and hardware specifications of Oppo R9s, yet it was not official. Today we have an official information about the technical specifications of Oppo R9s thanks to the device getting listed on China certification agency TENAA.
The TENAA listing at the moment though doesn’t offer images of the device while we are writing this post, but the specifications are all there to see. Two models are listed on TENAA i.e Oppo R9s and Oppo R9st, both of which are the same device with slight variation in network support. Rest of the specifications are same.
As per the listing, Oppo R9s sports a 5.5 inch full HD 1080p AMOLED display and is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor along with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card up to 128 GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system.
In terms of camera, it comes with 16 MP camera both as the main rear camera and the front shooter for selfies. It is backed by a 2910 mAh battery. In terms of dimensions, it measures 153 × 74.3 × 6.58(mm) which means it is just 6.58 mm thick and hence must be sleek. It weighs 145 grams. It comes with support for 4G LTE along with Oppo R9s Oppo R9s th VOLTE.
It will be available in Gold and Rose gold color options.
Apart from R9s, Oppo is set to announce R9s Plus too which comes with a bigger battery of 4000 mAh instead of 3010 mAh, a better CPU i.e Snapdragon 653, bigger RAM i.e. 6 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB RAM and a bigger display of 6 inch instead of 5.5 inch as in Oppo R9S.
