We are still few months away from the official launch of Samsung Galaxy S8, but that doesn’t stop rumor mills to start churning. Few days back, alleged specifications sheet for Samsung Galaxy S8 was spotted which listed some of the major hardware specifications of the smartphone including the possible price and proposed release date of April 2017. That leak we assume was fake as it appeared like someone typed the specs on an excel sheet.

Today, an alleged teaser for Samsung Galaxy S8 is spotted on Chinese social network Weibo, which though doesn’t reveal any hardware specifications of S8 yet indicate that the next galaxy is round the corner and we may see more credible leaks / rumors in coming days.

The alleged S8 teaser shows a big “8” in the centre with Samsung on top and the hashtag #TheNextGalaxy at the bottom. Samsung Galaxy S7 was launched at MWC 2016 this year and we can expect the next galaxy i.e. S8 to be launched in March / April 2017. Samsung is yet to announce anything though about their next flagship device.

Based on rumors / leaks, Galaxy S8 and S8 edge is expected to come with a UHD display with resolution of 3,840 x 2,160px. The screen size is expected to be 5.5 inch. We have heard rumors indicating that it may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 830, exclusively for Samsung only.

At the moment, we have nothing more in terms of specifications. As with each leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.

Update:

It appears the teaser is old one and not for Galaxy S8. This was tweeted from official Samsung twitter handle few months back.
