Huawei Honor is going to launch a new smartphone in India soon. Honor twitter handle is teasing few teaser images which talks about a “#16nm” hastag. Till date, they have teased few images which come with following messages:
- Faster than fast
#16nm is coming. - Save more power
#16nm is coming. - Better than you have ever imagined
#16nm is coming.
The one thing that is common in these teasers is ” #16nm is coming”. If you are following Honor smartphone launches, you can easily guess what #16nm specifies.
Basically #16nm means the Huawei Kirin 650 SOC chip or processor which is built on 16nm FinFET plus process from TSMC claimed to be better than the 28 nm process used by rivals such as Helio X10 and Snapdragon 616. The latest Honor smartphone which is powered by Huawei Kirin 650 SOC is Honor 5C which was launched almost 2 months back in China.
Honor 5C comes with a 5.2 inch 1080p full HD display powered by octa-core Kirin 650 processor and Mali-T830 MP2 GPU along with 2 GB of RAM & 16 GB of internal storage running Android Marshmallow 6.0 based operating system with Huawei EMUI 4.1.
It comes with 13 MP main rear camera with LED flash and a 8 MP front facing shooter. It is backed by a battery of 3000 mAh capacity. It comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back below the rear camera which can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds.
Honor 5C was launched in China for 899 Yuan (~Rs. 9,000) and we can assume the price of the smartphone in India when launched will be below Rs. 10,000.
