Renown leakster, Evan Blass, said on twitter, that the next gen flagship phablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 6 could be launched in the third week of August.

This is not a surprising move, since the South Korean company, launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in August last year. This move broke Samsung’s tradition of launching the new Note device, at the IFA Tech show, which is held in Berlin every year.

Also, it came at a big cost, for Europeans. No, its not the price tag, but the non availability of the devices, which Samsung said was due to the fact that people in Europe, consider big screen phones as entertainment devices, and not productivity based ones, which in fact is the specialty of the Note and the S-Pen stylus and its features.

There have been a lot of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 6, which is touted to be  the first phone to come with an Iris scanner.

Coming to more realistic features, the phone has been rumored to come in two variants (like the S7), one likely with an in-house Exynos procesor and the other with a Qualcomm Snapdragon (possibly 823) chipset. Other rumored features of the Galaxy Note 6, include a 5.8-inch AMOLED Quad HD ((1440 x 2560 pixels) Display, 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM,  64GB and 128GB UFS 2.0 storage, a 12 MP rear camera with Super OIS plus, a 4000mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, S PEN and even a curved Note 6 Edge variant.

We don’t think that the Note 6 will likely be launched with Android N out of the box, since the operating system is still in a fledgling phase.
