Riptide GP: Renegade is Vector Unit’s latest game, and follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, Riptide GP and GP 2.

Riptide GP Renegade

The popular hydro jet racing franchise is all set to welcome the third game in the series, this summer.

Take a look at some of the screeenshots the developers have posted on their official webpage. And here is a video trailer for  Riptide GP: Renegade.

As you can see, the game has brand new graphics and stunts. The game will also feature new animations including for the Hydro jets which now transform, longer race tracks, hidden shortcuts. There will be new characters to unlock, which is kind of like the Beach Buggy Blitz/Racing series. Riptide GP: Renegade also features online multiplayer, split screen racing, ghost racing, and even a story mode. The latter part is unclear, but could just be a career mode.

Vector Unit has said on is YouTube channel that the game won’t be super-grindy, so hopefully this means no IAPs or less IAPs. My money is on the latter (pun intended).

The game will be released in late May for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows 10. But fret not, Riptide GP: Renegade will be coming soon to Android devices and Steam shortly after the console versions.
