Infocus M330 was launched sometime back by Infocus in India for a price of Rs 8,999 on Snapdeal. Infocus M330 runs on Android KitKat 4.4 with InLife UI as the operating system. M330 users are awaiting to get an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop and some of the impatient one even hoping for Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
But it seems that Infocus has no future plans for providing an Android 5.0 Lollipop or Android 6.0 marshmallow update (even if it’s not a OTA update) to M330 users. This is clarified on the company’s official Facebook page in response to a user asking for Lollipop or Marshmallow update for his brand new M330 . Checkout the screenshot below which reproduces the conversation.
The statement clearly says this:
Unfortunately, the Lollipop/Marshmallow update will not be available for M330.
That’s sad for users who own M330 smartphone. Before M330, Infocus has declined to provide Android 5.0 Lollipop update for M2 and M530 smartphone too.
