Just few hours back, we reported that OnePlus is rolling out OxygenOS 2.2.0 OTA update to OnePlus X users today. Most users have already received the OTA update and flashed it. The OxygenOS 2.2.0 OTA update adds Manual Mode for the Camera App and Save to SD card option in Camera App apart from many other bug fixes and security updates.

After updating the device with 2.2.0 OTA update, users are reporting that the update has messed up with the flash feature on the device and users are unable to use Flash in the camera, both in the Manual mode and the default mode. The Flash is now available only while shooting videos. In every other mode, a “cross” sign appears with the flash and it cant be enabled.

We tested it ourselves and can confirm the Flash issue after the Oxygen OS 2.2.0 OTA update on Oneplus X.

How to Fix the Flash not working problem

Go to Setting >> App >> All >> Camera and then tap on ‘Clear Data’, your flash will work again.
