Google has slashed the price of its Nexus 5X smartphone, barely three and half months after the device was launched.
The LG Nexus 5X was originally launched for $379 in the US, for the 16 GB variant.
The phone is now available for $30 cheaper at $349 at the US Google Store, and from the looks of it, it does appear to be a permanent price cut.
The LG Nexus 5X is also available for a cheaper price in India, at Rs 22899 (about $342) in India, at Snapdeal and Amazon India, which is nearly 9000 Rupees cheaper than the launch price of Rs 31990.
This happens to be the second price cut for the Nexus 5X in India, after one in November, which dropped the price of the phone by Rs 7000 (from 32000 to Rs 25000).
But it is still a bit more expensive at the Google India Store, with a price tag of Rs 23900, which interestingly says it includes a Republic Day discount of Rs 4000.
On a side note, the 32GB variant of the Nexus 5X is now available for Rs 32500 in India from Amazon and Snapdeal, and for $399 in the US Google Store(previously $429).
If you have recently ordered the Nexus 5X from Google, try calling their customer support, and request for price matching it to the current one. Reddit users report that they have been issued credits for the $30 price difference.
