Lenovo K4 Note with 5.5-inch FHD, Fingerprint Scanner, NFC launched for Rs 11999 in India

Lenovo has officially launched the successor to its popular phablet, the K3 Note, in India.

Here are the full technical specifications of the device.

OS and Display

The Lenovo K4 Note sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p IPS Display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and has a 178° wide-angle. The device has the model number A7010a48.

Processor, RAM, GPU and Storage

The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor, along with 3GB DDR3 RAM and a Mali T720-MP3 (450MHz) GPU. The device comes with Lenovo TheaterMax, a VR technology which can convert all content (movies, games, online videos) to a widescreen cinematic Experience

The device comes with 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB expandable memory.

Camera and sensors

The K4 Note comes with a rear placed fingerprint scanner placed below the camera. The 13 megapixel rear camera has an  f/2.2 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and Dual LED Flash. The selfie lens is a 5 megapixel front camera. Other sensors are the phone are: Gravitation, Proximity, Light, E-Compass

Battery, Connectivity and Audio

The phone is backed by a 3400 mAh battery (non-removable), and supports Dual micro SIM cards. Connectivity wise, it supports GPRS, EDGE, HSPA+, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, A-GPS and FM Radio.

Both sim slots support 4G LTE. Supported 4G LTE bands are:

  • TDD Band 40/41 NW (2555MHz-2655MHz)
  • FDD Band 1/3/5/7/8/20

LTE Cat 4 supports up to 150Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload speeds.

The K4 Note has Dual Dolby Atmos speakers placed on the front. The 3.5 mm audio jack placed on the top of the phone, and has a Wolfson Pro Audio Hub with a 3 mic system for recording audio.

Build

The phone has a metal frame, with metallic volume rocker keys and the power button housed to the right side. All three keys are metallic as well.The back cover of the phone is made of a Polycarbonate material. The device measures at 153.6 x 76.5 x 9.15 mm, and 3.8mm at its thinnest point. The device weighs 158g.

Pricing

The Lenovo K4 Note has been priced at Rs 11999 in India, and is available exclusively from Amazon India. You can buy an AntVR Virtual Reality headset for the device for Rs 1299, or buy the phone with the headset for Rs 12499. The phone will be available in Tuxedo Black color.

Lenovo will also launch some premium wood covers for the device (back cover replacements). There will apparently be 5 wood covers, each with its own design.

The Lenovo K4 Note will be sold through flash sales. The first flash sale will be held on 19th January. Registrations for the first flash sale begins at 3PM today.
