HTC One A9 launched: 5-inch Full HD AMOLED , Snapdragon 617, 13 MP camera

After much of rumors and speculation, HTC has finally made HTC One A9 official. HTC One A9 sports a unibody metallic build almost same as that of an iPhone. One A9 sports a 5.0-inch full HD AMOLED display along with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor and Adreno 405 GPU. It is just 7 mm thick and weighs 143 gms.

It will come in two variants in different parts of the world i.e. first variant comes with 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage whereas the second variant comes with 3 GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage, both with expandable memory support up to 2TB via microSD cards. In terms of operating system, it is powered by Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI. HTC promised to provide Android updates within 15 days after Google pushing the update for Nexus devices. It also comes with an unlocked bootloader.

It sports a 13 MP rear camera with LED Flash with BSI sensor, OIS, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, whereas the front one is an Ultrapixel with f/2.0 aperture. Both cameras comes with 1080p video recording capability.

It also comes with Multi-directional fingerprint sensor and Hi-Fi DAC, Dolby Audio and HTC Uh Oh Protection which lets you replace your broken screen once during the first year. The device is powered by a decent battery of 2150 mAh capacity and comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

It will be available in Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet colors with local pricing to be announced later on.  HTC One A9 and accessories will be available worldwide, both at retailers and htc.com, beginning November 2015.

At the moment, HTC one A9 will be available at $399.99 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage on all US carriers. Outside US, the device pricing is weird with the UK cost of £429.99 translating to whopping $665 (2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variant).
