Apple launches it’s first Android app, Move to iOS, which draws in over 1000 one-star reviews on the first day

This happens everywhere on the internet, wherever you go, it’s Android vs iOS users.

Move to iOS Android App

The latter are often slammed as “trolls”, but I think it’s a bit harsh.

No OS is perfect, but today, Apple may have just hit a new low. The Cupertino company has launched its first Android app on the Google Play Store. And guess what it is called, Move to iOS.

The app is designed to allow Android users to migrate to iOS easily and allows transferring the following content to Apple’s devices:

  • Contacts
  • Message history
  • Camera photos and videos
  • Web bookmarks
  • Mail accounts
  • Calendars

Asking Android users to move to iOS by releasing an official Android app, and that too in your first Android app? This is not a good start Apple, thumbs down for this. I am not sure why Google even published this app at the Play Store, maybe its just being the nice guy here, but users aren’t going to take this lightly. Not so surprisingly, the app has garnered well over 1000 one-star reviews for this ridiculous app.

Well this explains how Apple is losing its hold on the smartphone market, else it wouldn’t have had to resort to such cheap tactics.

Oh, and do read the reviews for the app at the Play Store, some of them are hilarious.

We can expect Apple to release another Android app sooner or later, for its music service, Apple Music. Hopefully that will offer Android users some functionality.
