HTC’s upcoming premium tablet, the HTC Volantis, could have 5GB of RAM, a new leak suggests.

HTC Volantis Tablet

A couple of weeks ago, images and a list of specifications of the tablet, were leaked, but today’s leak is completely different.

Renown leaker Evleaks, suggests that the previous renders and concepts were fake. Now, considering the fact that evleaks has been very accurate in the past, this could actually be true.

The first arrow in the image (click here for a bigger picture) pointing to the camera, has the words ,”‘Android Silver OS Alpha 1.4′”. The image also suggests that the device could be named Flounder, as reported earlier.

The Volantis will be powered by a 64-bit Tegra K1 SnapDragon 810 processor, and a massive amount of RAM, 5GB DDR3 . It sports an 8.9″ display with 1680×1050, but it should with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels.  The tablet will have 64GB of internal storage. It will  ship with either a 5 or 8 Megapixel camera with support for 1080p. It will also feature HTC’s proprietary Boomsound technology.

Here is the new list of the technical specifications of the HTC Volantis:

Display8.9" Display at 1680×1050 (Final 2560×1600)
Processor64-bit Tegra K1 (testing with SnapDragon 810)
RAM5GB DDR3 (non-final)
Storage16GB internal storage
Cameras5MP/1080p (8MP at retail?)
Other Boomsound

Nothing is final, so take these with a pinch of salt.

Update:

It is not real folks . evleaks admitted that it was a fake.

So, the older render leaked a few weeks ago, could be the real deal.
