Almost seven weeks back, Vivo X20 made its first appearance in the form of a listing on China Radio Regulation / Wireless Authority which appeared odd, looking at the jump from Vivo X9 series of devices to Vivo X20. Now, we have one more confirmation of Vivo X20 series of devices thanks to China 3C certification portal where Vivo X20 and Vivo X20A are listed as approved with brief details apart from the model names. As per the 3C or CCC listing, Vivo X20 and X20A comes with a 9V2A or 18W charger. Any other detail is not available, except the name of the device and the Charger capacity.

The approval date of the devices is shown as 14th August 2017 which means that we are at least few months away from official unveiling of Vivo X20 series.

Vivo X20 surfaces on China Radio Regulation Authority

Just a few weeks back, Vivo launched their last flagship device as Vivo X9s and X9s Plus. But it seems that the company is already working on their next device but that ay come with a significant jump in terms of the name of the model. Going by naming convention of Vivo, we would have expected Vivo X11 as their next device, but a new listing at China Radio Regulation / Wireless Authority suggest that the next Vivo flagship device will not be Vivo X11 but Vivo X20.

Two model numbers i.e. Vivo X20 and Vivo X20A have surfaced on the China Radio Regulation Authority which gives it more credibility and can be considered as official confirmation of the names of the two upcoming devices. The listing though doesn’t reveal anything more except the name including hardware specifications or a possible time for official launch. The two model numbers may indicate the standard variant and a Plus variant of the device.

Coming to the existing Vivo X9s, the phone features a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED screen, while the Vivo X9s Plus features a 5.85-inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED screen. X9s is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 Mobile Platform while the X9s Plus has Snapdragon 653 with both having 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.

As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
